I can’t tell you how many times I see this very question in Facebook groups from aspiring VAs or people just checking into being a Virtual Assistant.
And I can tell you from my own experience…
YES! You absolutely can start a VA business without any experience.
You may not have any experience with working virtually, but I would bet that if you have any work experience at all, you can quickly translate that experience into something virtual.
Take me for example: I had years of administrative, database, and technology experience that I was able to use to get my first client. I hadn’t ever worked virtually, but it really wasn’t that much different than working in an office setting. I just couldn’t walk down the hall to ask my co-worker a question. Instead, I sent an email.
There was a bit of a learning curve - there’s definitely a new vocabulary you have to learn when you transition into the online world.
But it’s completely doable! I’ve been in business for 2.5 years ;)
